Job Summary (List Format):

- Provides professional nursing care to a group of patients using the nursing process and current best practices.
- Responsible for patient assessments, developing and implementing individualized plans of care.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date documentation for integration with the healthcare team.
- Continuously evaluates and modifies care plans based on patient and family needs.
- Ensures patient and employee safety by identifying and correcting hazards and reporting incidents.
- Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to resolve issues.
- Provides constructive feedback and collaborates with peers for professional development.
- Identifies personal learning needs and pursues relevant learning opportunities.
- Completes all departmental competencies as required.
- Prepares the operating room (OR) suite with necessary supplies, equipment, and medications.
- Conducts patient interviews using proper identification protocols.
- Safely transports and positions patients in the OR, performing required safety timeouts.
- Supports the surgical team during procedures by providing requested supplies and assistance.
- Transfers patients post-procedure to the appropriate care unit and provides thorough handoff to receiving staff.
