Description

Job Summary:

- Operates computed tomography (CT) equipment to obtain diagnostic images for disease and injury assessment.
- Secures high-quality diagnostic images using complex CT techniques for patients of all ages (neonate to geriatric).
- Ensures compliance with all Federal, State, and departmental radiation safety regulations.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of CT trends and participates in ongoing education, including dose optimization and safe operation procedures.
- Supports Section Leader in developing and expanding CT services to meet patient and organizational needs.
- Assists in the development and implementation of efficient unit procedures.
- Adheres to Joint Commission, state, federal, local regulatory standards, and hospital policies.
- Promotes effective relationships within and outside the department.
- Ensures patient care meets quality standards, including patient identification protocols and documentation.
- Educates patients and practices basic patient education skills.
- Assists in evaluating new imaging equipment as needed.
- Interacts professionally with patients, vendors, co-workers, and medical staff.
- Acts as a preceptor for new employees and trains students, interns, and externs when required.
- Promotes Service Excellence and maintains performance standards.
- Completes all mandatory competencies, required courses, and maintains licensure/certifications.
- Participates in hospital and Imaging Services committees as needed.
- Upholds patient rights to care, privacy, and respect.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or Nuclear Medicine (diploma required).
- Two or more years’ experience as a CT Technologist preferred.
- Current advanced ARRT CT registration strongly preferred.
- Current MA Radiologic Technologist or CT Technologist licensure required.
- BLS healthcare provider certification required.
Med Ninjas Job ID #5759. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
