Description

Job Summary (List Format) for Lab Pathologist Assistant:

- Provide anatomic pathology services under the supervision of a Pathologist.
- Assist in the preparation and performance of human surgical specimen dissection.
- Aid in the preparation and performance of human postmortem (autopsy) examinations.
- Prepare, describe grossly, and dissect human tissue surgical specimens.
- Assist with frozen section evaluations during surgeries.
- Perform gross examination and selection of tissue samples.
- Conduct cryotomy of specimens and apply staining techniques for intraoperative evaluation by a Pathologist.
- Submit samples and dictate gross findings for both surgical and postmortem specimens.

Med Ninjas Job ID #6245. Pay package is based on 10 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
