Registered Nurse – IR Neurovascular Moderate Sedation

Job Overview

• Provide moderate sedation in a fast-paced procedural area for patients undergoing preventative and interventional stroke care.
• Administer intraoperative moderate sedation and circulate when not providing sedation.
• Monitor patients’ cardiac and physical status closely.
• Collaborate with physicians to ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy.

Schedule

• 36 to 40 hours per week
• 10 or 12-hour day shifts
• On-call availability required for weekends and nights

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in New York State only
• Moderate sedation experience required
• Interventional Radiology (IR) experience required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Telemetry experience required
• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience (experience in a Level 1 trauma center highly preferred)

Skills & Experience

• Ability to administer and monitor conscious sedation independently
• Operating room experience in a Level 1 trauma hospital is highly desired
