🩺 Registered Nurse – Cath Lab / IR

Shift: Day – 4x10 (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)

🏥 Unit Details:

• Cath Lab / Interventional Radiology Unit
• Cardiac cath and IR procedures
• Scrubs provided by facility

• Patient Population:
• Cardiac cath diagnostic/intervention patients
• IR patients requiring drains, biopsies, kyphoplasty, embolization, and vascular procedures

📋 Requirements:

• Active New York RN License
• ACLS and BLS Certifications (required)
• Minimum 2 years Cath Lab experience required
• Must have Cath Lab experience (IR-only experience not accepted)
• Must have experience in both Cath Lab and IR Lab
• EPIC charting experience required

⭐ Preferred:

• RCIS Certification
• Strong scrub experience in Cath Lab
• Experience functioning in Rad Tech-style procedural role

🩺 Responsibilities:

• Scrub and assist during cardiac cath and IR procedures
• Support diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations

• Assist with PCI, angioplasty, stent placement, Impella, IABP, and pacemaker procedures
• Monitor and manage procedural sedation

• Perform dysrhythmia interpretation and cardiac monitoring
• Assist with vascular access, biopsies, embolization, chest tube placement, and angiography procedures

• Maintain sterile technique and infection prevention protocols
• Document procedures accurately in EPIC

• Participate in call rotation and weekend coverage
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary procedural team
