Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (IR RN)

Job Overview

• Provide specialized patient care to adult inpatients and outpatients undergoing interventional radiology procedures such as biopsies, embolizations, ablations, angiography, drain placements, and other image-guided procedures.
• Responsibilities include patient preparation, intra-procedure monitoring, and post-procedure recovery (including PACU and extended stay up to 23 hours).
• Participate as part of the critical embolization response team for trauma patients.
• Work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment requiring critical thinking and strong communication skills.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Schedule

• 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (4x10hr shifts)
• 40 hours per week total
• Includes weekends, holidays, and on-call duties as needed

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in New York State
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA only)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA only)
• Telemetry experience required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year of recent experience in interventional radiology

Additional Information

• Must wear hospital-issued and laundered scrub pants and tops in procedural areas
• Adherence to infection prevention measures is required
