Description

Registered Nurse (ICU - Neurology)

Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Registered Nurse, Direct Care
Shift: 12-hour shifts
Weekly Hours: 36 hours
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Provide nursing care under general supervision to patients with a range of health problems from simple to complex in a hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities

Manage an assigned group of patients and document responses to nursing interventions and medical treatments.
Assist physicians with patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures.
Monitor physiological data and intervene as necessary.
Administer medications, intravenous infusions, and blood products.
Deliver competent patient care and communicate care plans to patients and families.
Inform patients and families about hospital procedures and make referrals as needed.
Delegate tasks to support staff.

Required Qualifications

Experience

Minimum 1 year of Neuro ICU experience within the last year.
Trauma experience.

Education

Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.

Licenses & Certifications

Valid RN license in Oklahoma.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (or higher) from a board-approved program.
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification is a plus.

Note: Prior travel experience is not specified as a requirement.
