Description

Echo Tech Position - Denver, Colorado

Job Summary

  • Perform diagnostic cardiac and vascular ultrasound exams under physician direction to identify abnormalities for patient diagnosis.
  • Utilize high-frequency sound waves to evaluate internal organs and vessels.
  • Prepare exam rooms, obtain informed consent, and gather accurate clinical history.
  • Review patient history to select appropriate exam protocols.
  • Explain examination methods and position patients accordingly.
  • Assess patient status and perform necessary diagnostic techniques and interventions.
  • Review and evaluate completed tests for quality and completeness, ensuring quality images.
  • Coordinate preparation of images and documentation for physician review.
  • Document and communicate patient information accurately.
  • Inform patients of physician instructions or caregiver observations.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safety and care.
  • Ensure safe and effective handoff between shifts.
  • Monitor equipment reliability and safety; report issues and maintain supplies and cleanliness.
  • Transport patients as needed.
  • Participate in quality initiatives related to patient satisfaction, care, and workflow.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Regular attendance on-site during scheduled shifts is required.

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Work Schedule

  • Day shift, 10 hours per day, 40 hours per week
  • Variable shifts during the week including on-call rotation and Saturday coverage

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS)
  • Minimum of 1 year of Echo Technologist experience within the last year
  • Experience with structural heart cases
  • Experience with pediatric cases
