CT Technologist

Location: West Burlington, Iowa
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Shift: Night (9:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Prepare patients for CT examinations and position them according to physician’s orders.
• Operate Computed Tomography (CT) equipment and accessories.
• Produce quality diagnostic images as directed by physicians and radiologists.
• Demonstrate knowledge of general anatomy, CT imaging fundamentals, radiation protection, technical factors, basic computer skills, and PACS.
• Competency required in CT procedures, protocols, and techniques.
• Epic system experience required (minimum 12 months).

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in Iowa.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist, including experience within the last year.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Experience with Epic system.

Health and Compliance Requirements (Must be completed prior to start)

• Drug Screen (9-panel, within 30 days).
• Influenza vaccine or facility declination (seasonal, optional).
• COVID-19 vaccine or declination accepted.
• MMR: 2 vaccines or positive titer; 1 booster or declination if low/equivocal.
• Hepatitis B: 2 vaccines or positive titer; 1 booster or declination if low/equivocal.
• Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer; 1 booster or declination if low/equivocal.
• Tdap vaccine valid within 10 years or declination accepted.
• TB test: Negative test within past year (TSPOT or QuantiFERON IGG) or documentation if history of positive test.
• Fit test for approved respirators completed prior to start.
• Physician health statement within last 12 months.
• Proof of current driver’s license or state ID (valid throughout assignment).
• Color vision test.

Background and Verification

• Background check within 30 days of start, including SS trace and 7-year county search.
• Iowa Adult and Child Abuse registry check (state requirement).
• EPLS/GSA/SAM HHS/OIG screening within 30 days of start.
• SING and NSO checks within 30 days of start.
• OFAC screening within 30 days of start.
• I-9 attestation completed on agency letterhead.
• Education verification through third party; diploma/transcripts may be required if verification is incomplete.
• Two professional references required for submission, including one supervisor reference.
• Resume or professional profile required for submission.
• Skills checklist completed within last 12 months.
• Contract employee data sheet and pre-orientation CBL acknowledgement form required.

Additional Notes

• Prior travel experience is not specified as required.
• All credentials and verifications must be current and valid at the time of assignment start.
• Seasonal influenza vaccine is optional but recommended during flu season.
