MRI Technologist I

Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Clinical Technician
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Saturday, Sunday, Monday, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Hours per Week: 36 hours (12 hours per day)

Job Summary

Entry-level position working under supervision to develop competencies in cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services for adult and pediatric patients. Supports medical staff in diagnosis, care, treatment, and monitoring of various conditions using specialized imaging equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality, patient-centered care in various settings including inpatient, outpatient, diagnostic, and outreach clinics.
• Prepare patients for imaging procedures and correlate clinical history with physician orders.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to achieve clinical and operational goals.
• Operate specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic equipment to perform diagnostic, interventional, or surgical procedures.
• Conduct post-procedure reviews to ensure documentation and technical quality meet protocols and accreditation standards.
• Transfer images and data to archival systems and prepare studies for physician reporting.
• Perform quality control, cleaning, and high-level disinfection of equipment per manufacturer and regulatory guidelines.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development to maintain competencies.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an MRI Technologist, with recent experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
