RN High Risk Antepartum

Location

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Work Schedule

12-hour shifts
36 hours per week

Job Summary

Responsible for an assigned group of patients.
Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed treatments.
Assist physicians with patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures.
Obtain and monitor physiological data; observe patient conditions and intervene as needed.
Administer medications, initiate and monitor IV infusions and blood products.
Deliver competent patient care.
Communicate care plans to patients and families during hospitalization and at discharge.
Inform patients and families about hospital procedures.
Make referrals regarding patient care needs.
Delegate tasks to support staff.

Required Qualifications

Experience

Minimum 1 year of antepartum nursing experience within the last year.
Experience working with Maternal-Fetal patients, Neonate patients, and Level 1 Trauma patients.
Maternal-Newborn experience including labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn care.

Education

Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.

Licenses & Certifications

Valid RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
