MRI Technologist I

Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Clinical Technician
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Entry-level position working under supervision to develop competencies in cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services for adult and pediatric patients.
Provides safe, high-quality, patient-centered care in various settings including inpatient, outpatient, diagnostic, urgent care, and outreach clinics.
Prepares patients for procedures and correlates clinical history with physician orders.
Collaborates with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to achieve clinical and operational goals.
Operates specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic equipment to perform diagnostic, interventional, and surgical procedures.
Conducts post-procedure reviews to ensure documentation and technical quality meet protocols and accreditation standards.
Transfers images and data to archival systems and prepares studies for physician reporting.
Performs quality control, cleaning, and maintenance of equipment per manufacturer and regulatory guidelines.
Participates in continuing education and professional development to maintain competencies and improve care.

Required Qualifications

Education

Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited program with emphasis in a cardiovascular specialty
OR
Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited program with emphasis in radiologic technology

Certifications

BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association

Experience & Skills

Minimum of 1 year of experience as an MRI Technologist, including experience within the last year
Experience working with pediatric patients

Work Schedule

Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM (12-hour shifts)
On-call hours included

Additional Information

Must demonstrate initiative, effort, and commitment to completing assignments efficiently
Ability to work with minimal supervision

No prior travel experience requirement specified.
