Job Opportunity: CT Technologist II
Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Clinical Technician
Job Summary
Provide specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services to adult and pediatric patients under general to limited supervision. Perform diagnostic, interventional, and surgical imaging procedures using advanced equipment, supporting medical staff in diagnosis, care, treatment, and surveillance of various conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, high-quality, and efficient patient-centric care in diverse settings including inpatient, outpatient, urgent care, and outreach clinics.
- Prepare patients for procedures and correlate clinical history with physician orders.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to achieve clinical and operational goals.
- Operate specialized imaging equipment and perform a range of diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Conduct post-procedure reviews independently to ensure completeness and technical quality per protocols and accreditation standards.
- Transfer images and data to archival systems, document technical findings, and prepare studies for physician reporting.
- Perform quality control, cleaning, and high-level disinfection of equipment following manufacturer and regulatory guidelines.
- Participate in continuing education, professional development, and research to maintain competencies.
- Provide instruction, mentorship, and in-service training to less experienced team members.
- Assist with quality assurance and performance improvement activities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited program with emphasis in a primary cardiovascular specialty OR
- Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited program with emphasis in radiologic technology specialty.
Experience
- Up to 1+ years of Level I trauma experience required.
- Preferred: One (1) year full-time experience as a certified or registered cardiovascular or radiologic technologist in the specialty.
Certifications & Licensure
- Current CT credentials as required by the hiring department.
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Skills & Abilities
- Proficient in cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology principles, medical imaging, terminology, patient positioning, and medical ethics.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions reliably.
- Sensitivity to patients’ physical and psychological needs.
- Strong record-keeping accuracy and attention to detail.
- Sound judgment and discretion in handling confidential information.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under stress.
- Effective communication with staff, patients, and families in a professional and compassionate manner.
- Initiative, commitment, and ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Core to intermediate knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and specialty-specific technologies and terminology.
- Ability to analyze and annotate study data with limited direction.
Work Schedule
- Dayshift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- On-call: 1 time per month
- 12-hour shifts, approximately 36 hours per week
