NICU Registered Nurse

Overview

Travel/contract role in Charlotte, North Carolina
13-week contract
36 hours per week
Night shift: 3x12 hours, 18:45–07:15
Ratios: 1:2–4
Self-scheduling per unit needs
No call
Unit accepts first-time travelers
Local candidates accepted

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care (3 years of experience)
NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience within the last year
Ventilator experience
PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience
Pediatrics experience
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure issued by American Heart Association or American Academy of Pediatrics

Schedule and Time Off

7 days of RTO maximum for auto-offer
RTO after booking is not allowed
Weekend requirement: 3 Fridays, 3 Saturdays, and 3 Sundays in a 6-week period

Unit Details

Float to pediatrics, PICU, or nursery caring for infants up to 12 months
Patient population includes premature infants as early as 22 weeks, surgical infants, and hypoxic injury cases
Common procedures include therapeutic hypothermia, nitric oxide, UAC/UVC, Broviac, trachs, G-tubes, and ostomies

Orientation

24 hours of unit orientation
