Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Overview

  • Travel/contract role in Albuquerque, New Mexico
  • Day shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
  • 36 hours per week
  • Contract length: 18 weeks

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in New Mexico
  • ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
  • ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course
  • NIHSS
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Driver's License
  • Trauma experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Level I trauma experience
  • Travel experience is strongly preferred

Clinical Setting

  • Emergency Department
  • Level I trauma, children’s, teaching, short-term acute care facility
  • High admit-hold volume; assignments may consist primarily of admitted patients
  • May float to Peds ED, Adult PCUs, ED Holding, and Trauma as needed

Schedule Notes

  • Weekend shifts scheduled as needed
  • No on-call
  • No block scheduling
  • Christmas RTO is not allowed
  • RTO greater than 7 days requires approval

Additional Notes

  • Cerner familiarity may be used to test out of training
  • COVID vaccination is optional
  • Flu vaccination/documentation is required year-round
  • Fingerprinting is required onsite during orientation
  • Physical exam, negative TB screening, drug screen, fit testing, and immunization documentation are required before start
