Registered Nurse — Med/Surg Telemetry
Overview
- Travel/contract role in Wilmington, North Carolina
- Night shift: 18:45–07:15
- 36 hours per week
- Contract length: 13–20 weeks
- Patient ratio: 1:6
- Self-scheduling
- Every other weekend required
- No call required
- May be required to float
- Must be able to work holidays
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Carolina
- Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Preferred
- Charge experience
Key Clinical Skills
- Med/Surg and telemetry care
- Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- Remote telemetry monitoring
- Rapid response/code team support
- IV therapy, central line care, PICC management, and phlebotomy
- Blood product administration
- Heparin, insulin, and PCA management
- Chest tube care
- BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, nasal cannula, oxygen administration, and non-invasive airway management
- Wound care and wound vac management
- Bowel obstruction, colostomy/ileostomy care, feeding tube care, renal failure, and hemodialysis-related care
Work Environment
- Unit orientation: 24 hours
- Scrubs: navy blue or white
- Medication/documentation system includes Pyxis
Additional Notes
- Candidate may be assigned to storm, hurricane, mass casualty, or disaster response coverage
- Interview availability for the next 72 hours must be provided at submission
