CT Tech
Location
- Lafayette, Colorado
Schedule
- Friday–Sunday, 6:30 AM–7:00 PM
- Rotating call and assigned holidays
- 36 hours per week
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree
- ARRT
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association
- CT Technologist experience in a hospital setting
- 1 year of CT Technologist experience
- CT Technologist experience within the last year
Preferred Qualifications
- 1–2 years of CT experience in a hospital setting
- 1–2 years of experience in a healthcare setting
- Fluoroscopy certification for caregivers hired in Colorado
Key Responsibilities
- Perform CT procedures and produce quality diagnostic images
- Verify patient identity and orders, prepare patients, and provide patient education
- Review images for quality and completeness
- Follow radiation safety, infection control, sterile technique, and department protocols
- Administer contrast media under physician or radiologist supervision as ordered
- Maintain accurate records and report equipment issues
- Support students and other radiology technologists with protocols and positioning
Skills and Experience
- Sectional anatomy and anatomic terminology
- CT equipment operation and CT imaging techniques/protocols
- Contrast administration and contrast injector operation
- Electronic imaging: view, transfer, and manipulate images
- Recognize and respond to emergent patient situations
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Communicate effectively with patients and caregivers
- Prioritize tasks
- Maintain a clean, neat, and safe environment
