Perioperative Circulator RN
Location
- Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Schedule
- 40 hours per week
- 8-hour shifts
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Oklahoma or a current multistate compact RN license
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute operating room environment
- OR Circulate experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Current Basic Life Support certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
- Experience in a Procedural Area setting
- Perioperative experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher from a Board Approved Program
- CNOR certification
Role Overview
- Provides direct and indirect professional nursing care for patients in the operating room
- Plans, coordinates, delivers, and evaluates perioperative nursing care
- Documents and evaluates all components of care in the perioperative environment
- Individualizes care based on patient health status, age level, and procedure being performed
Key Skills
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
- Understanding of AORN standards
- Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services
- Ability to maintain good working relationships
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Some computer skills
