Telemetry
Overview
- Travel/Contract role in Augusta, Georgia
- Day shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00–19:00
- 36 hours per week
- Adults to Geriatrics patient population
- Telemetry unit with 36 rooms and average daily census of 35
- Ratio: 1:4–5
- Floating within facility/scope of practice as needed
- No call
- Every other weekend
- Locals accepted
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Georgia
- Telemetry (2 years of experience)
- Telemetry experience within the last year
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience with Epic
- Full compliance required to start on time
- Photo ID
- Background check completed before start
- Education verification of related degree
- NURSYS verification
- Color blind testing
- Competency exam
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam
- Physical exam
- Negative TB or chest X-ray
- TB questionnaire
- Hepatitis B surface antibody titer or signed declination
- Negative 10-panel drug screen
- Flu vaccine or declination
- 2 clinical references
- Skills checklist within 12 months
- Verification of most recent employer
Preferred
- NIH Stroke Certification
- 1st timers accepted
Clinical Focus
- CHF
- MI/chest pain pre- and post-cath
- Dysrhythmias pre- and post-device implants
- Hypo-/hypertension
- Pleural effusion
- Sepsis
- PE/DVT/vascular issues
Scheduling Notes
- Maximum 7 days of RTO
- Spring Break blackout dates: April 4th–12th
- If one major holiday falls during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work it; if two, both; if three, two of them
Additional Notes
- Navy blue scrubs
- Non-billable orientation hours depend on contract length
