CT Tech
Overview
- Location: Lafayette, Colorado
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Tues-Fri 1100-2030
- On call: rotating call and assigned holidays
- Hours per week: 36
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association
- ARRT (CT)
- CT Technologist with 1 year of experience
- CT Technologist experience within the last year
- Experience in a hospital setting
- Experience with CT equipment operation
- Experience with CT imaging techniques and protocols
- Experience with contrast administration protocols and contrast injector operation
- Experience with IV contrast injection
- Experience with electronic imaging, including the ability to view, transfer, and manipulate images
Preferred Qualifications
- Radiation badge provided by supplier preferred
- Certified Computed Tomography Technologist - American Registry of Radiography Technologists ARRT (R)(CT)
- Fluoroscopy certification for caregivers hired in this role in the State of Colorado
- 1-2 years of work experience in CT experience in a hospital setting
Role Summary
- CT Tech performs CT procedures using ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes.
- The role requires maintaining ARRT competency, operating CT equipment and related information systems, administering contrast media per protocol, and supporting patient care, image quality, radiation safety, and infection control.
