Operating Room
Overview
- Travel/Contract role in Winter Haven, Florida
- Day shift: 4x10 hours, 7:00–17:30
- 40 hours per week
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- First-timers accepted
- Weekend work required
- On-call required: 3 overnight shifts in a 4-week period and 1–2 weekend call shifts in a 4-week period
- No floating within scope
- No block schedule accommodation
- No locals accepted
- Pending license not accepted
Required Qualifications
- OR - Operating Room (2 years of experience)
- OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
- Ability to circulate
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- Valid RN license in Florida
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience with Cerner
- COVID-19 vaccination required; medical or religious exemptions accepted
- Driver’s license or state ID required and must remain active/current during the assignment
- Nursys verification required
- Background check required within 1 year of start
- Florida AHCA Level II fingerprint results required before start
- Education verification required
- Physical exam within 6 months of start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 10 weeks of start
- Drug test within 30 days
- References: 2 from within the past 2 years

Unit / Setting
- Main OR with 11 operating rooms
- Hours of operation: 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
- Urgent/emergent cases after 7:00 p.m. only
- Call response time: 30 minutes
- 475-bed community hospital
- Patient population is primarily adult; no pediatric population
- Surgical specialties include robotic, orthopedic, general, GYN, vascular, urology, and neurology (ortho spine)
