Operating Room

Overview

Travel/Contract role in Columbus, Georgia
Day shift: 4x10 hours, 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM
40 hours per week
12-week contract
Unit includes these surgical service lines: GYN, General, Ortho, Ortho Spine, Neuro Spine, Urology, and Plastics
Weekend coverage is every other weekend unless specified
Call is dependent on skill set
Floating is within facility/scope of practice and may include Piedmont Columbus Midtown
Locals are accepted

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Georgia
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
2 years of Operating Room experience
Operating Room experience within the last year
Full compliance required to start on time
Photo ID
Background check completed before start
Education verification for related degree
BLS
Color blind testing
Competency exam
Physical exam within 12 months of start
Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months of start
TB questionnaire
Hepatitis B surface antibody titer or signed declination
Negative 10-panel drug screen within 60 days of start
Flu vaccine or declination
2 clinical references
Skills checklist within 12 months
Verification of most recent employer

NRP
NIH Stroke Certification
Tdap within the past 10 years

Additional Notes

If one major holiday falls during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work it; if two fall during the assignment, both must be worked; if three fall during the assignment, two must be worked
Non-billable orientation hours are based on contract length
Clinical review is case-by-case before final manager decision
