Job Title: CT/X-Ray Tech
Location: Woodstock, VA
Setting: Critical Access Facility
Pay Range: Discuss with Recruiter
Schedule: 36 Hours per week, Fri-Sun, 7pm - 7am (Note: 3x12s, Weekend Requirements: every weekend, On-Call: None)
Contract Length: Discuss with Recruiter

Requirements:

• 3 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) and CT Technologist
• Qualified applicants MUST have VA License and ARRT certification
• Completion of an AMA-accredited Radiology Technology program required
• Knowledge of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and medical terminology required
• Knowledge of EPIC EMR required
• Valid BLS (AHA) certification required
• Ability to perform CT and general radiology procedures on patients of all ages
• Ability to work weekends/holidays and all shifts as needed
• Ability to operate CT and X-ray equipment with attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, stressful environment
• Excellent communication skills

Preferred:

• 3 years of hospital CT experience

Responsibilities:
As a healthcare professional in a Critical Access facility, your role will include:

• Performing accurate CT and X-ray procedures using optimal techniques to produce quality images for patients of all ages, including neonates, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
• Ensuring patient positioning, preparing equipment, and monitoring patient condition before, during, and after scans.
• Making necessary modifications for positioning, slice thickness, and intravenous contrast administration.
• Explaining procedures, gathering pertinent information, and reviewing patient history for contrast safety.
• Performing contrast injections as ordered by physicians and assisting with invasive procedures.
• Reporting critical findings promptly and accurately entering data into the HIS and RIS systems for exam orders and billing.
• Following radiation safety measures and infection control policies to ensure safety of patients and staff in compliance with all standards.
• Communicating with the department manager regarding productivity and performance improvements.
• Participating in continuing education to maintain current knowledge and skills.
