Job Details:

• Job Title: CVICU Registered Nurse
• Location: Baltimore, MD
• Setting: Hospital
• Pay Range: 59.74 - 62.73
• Schedule: 19:00 - 07:00
• Contract Length: 16 weeks
• Candidate Type: Local and traveler friendly
• Requirements: RN MD state license, BLS, ACLS, and CPI required. NIHSS and CCRN preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized care for adult and geriatric patients in the CVICU and CICU units.
• Monitor and manage patients with cardiovascular conditions, including complex cases involving IABP & Impella devices.
• Assist with bedside procedures such as central line, A-line, Swan/PA cath insertions, and chest tube placements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for advanced therapy workups including LVAD and heart transplants.
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to protocols for cardiac support devices and mechanical therapies.
• Respond to emergencies such as cardiogenic shock, cardiac arrest, and arrhythmias, providing life-saving interventions.
• Support patients and families through education and compassionate care, ensuring optimal recovery and safety.
