Job Details:
- Job Title: LPN: Corrections
- Location: Lynchburg/VA
- Setting: Corrections
- Pay Range: $1500 - $1650 weekly gross
- Schedule: 7a-3:30p, 40 hours per week, Every other weekend, Rotating Holidays
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Candidate Type: Local and traveler friendly
- Requirements: 1 year of experience as an LPN; Qualified applicants MUST have at least 1 year of experience in the correctional setting; Valid Licensed Practical Nurse license; Be willing to obtain VA licensure
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to offenders, including administering medications, performing treatments, conducting medical and mental health screenings, and monitoring chronic conditions.
- Work closely with correctional staff and healthcare teams to ensure safety, compliance, and consistent care delivery.
- Document patient care, assist with intake assessments, and stabilize patients until higher-level medical care is available.
- Report to medical emergencies as required.
