Schedule: Rotating weekends (day shift Saturday and Sunday, night shift Friday and Saturday); no call required

Highlights:

• 27-bed acuity adaptive model caring for both ICU and step-down level cardiac patients for continuity of care
• Patient ratios of 1:2, 1:1, and occasionally 1:3 based on acuity
• Experience with advanced cardiac procedures including ECMO cannulation/decannulation, CRRT, and post-operative recovery
• Comprehensive equipment suite including IV pumps, Servo U ventilators, and somanetics NIRS machines
• EMR system: Meditech
• Collaborative team environment with dedicated charge nurses and patient care technicians on each shift

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of Pediatric CICU/CVICU experience as a staff nurse
• Experience with 3-4 contracts in a dedicated pediatric CICU setting
• Minimum 2 years of PICU experience as a staff nurse
• Demonstrated experience caring for patients with congenital heart disease and post-operative management of CHD patients
• Proficiency in management of arterial lines, central lines, and transthoracic lines
• Current PALS, BLS, and ACLS certifications required
• Must be comfortable floating to PICU, NICU, pediatric med-surg, and pediatric oncology as needed
