Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Day or night shift available; standard 12-hour shifts with weekend rotation (6 weekend days per schedule)
Highlights:
- Work in a 24-bed Oncology and Women's Surgical specialty unit within a Magnet-designated, Level II trauma facility
- Patient ratios of 1:4 or 1:5 supporting manageable workload and quality care delivery
- EMR experience with Cerner; standard unit equipment utilized
- Rare floating requirements; staff primarily remains on home unit
- Minimal on-call expectations; rare call requirements

Requirements:
- Current RN license in North Carolina or compact state eligibility
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Chemotherapy certification preferred
- Medical-surgical experience strongly preferred

Lots of other travelers, nice approachable management that are on the floor in scrubs to help not criticize, updated cerner launch point, staff helps other staff, security is able to protect staff, PD is at hospital
Cons
Charge is only available to help with traumas otherwise they sit at their desk, techs assign pts to ER rooms making very heavy patient loads with multiple traumas with other nurse assignments being very light, not enough policies to protect nurses from verbal and physical violence from patients
