Schedule: 36 or 40 hours per week; shift times 06:45–17:15 with liver transplant call coverage; 1 on-call shift per week and 2 weekend shifts (12 hours each) per month

• 230-bed short-term acute care teaching facility with 18 operating rooms and daily census of 55–60 patients
• Focus on complex transplant cases including liver, heart, lung, and kidney; must have experience with full transplantation procedures, not just organ procurement
• Proficiency with MISONIX/CUSA equipment required
• EPIC charting system in a collaborative teaching environment

Requirements:

• Active RN license (pending licenses considered)
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience with strong transplant background required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA or American Red Cross); NIHSS must be obtained prior to start
• Demonstrated competency in liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant procedures reflected on skills checklist
• Experience with organ implantation (placing organs into recipients) is mandatory
• Proficiency in a wide range of OR procedures including laparoscopic techniques, wound management, and specialized surgical equipment
• Negative 10-panel drug screen plus nicotine/cotinine test required; nicotine-free status mandatory
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Willingness to float within scope and participate in training of students and new staff
• Successful completion of EKG and pharmacology assessments during orientation
