Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Self-scheduling based on unit needs; 6 weekend shifts per scheduling period; 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
Highlights:
- 12-bed Neuro/Surgical Intensive Care Unit specializing in complex neurology and neurosurgical patients
- Advanced procedures including CRRT, bedside EVD management, and arterial line monitoring
- Cerner documentation system with Baxter pump technology
- Collaborative unit staffing model with unit secretaries and tech support
- Opportunity to care for post-thrombectomy, TPA, and post-neurosurgery patients
- Float assignments prioritized to other ICUs or step-down units for skill development
Requirements:
- Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state eligibility
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- NIHSS certification required
- ICU experience required; neurology ICU experience strongly preferred
- Advanced skills in caring for neurology post-thrombectomy and TPA patients
- Experience with post-neurosurgery patient populations
- Navy blue scrubs required

Lots of other travelers, nice approachable management that are on the floor in scrubs to help not criticize, updated cerner launch point, staff helps other staff, security is able to protect staff, PD is at hospital
Cons
Charge is only available to help with traumas otherwise they sit at their desk, techs assign pts to ER rooms making very heavy patient loads with multiple traumas with other nurse assignments being very light, not enough policies to protect nurses from verbal and physical violence from patients
