Start Date: December 15, 2025
Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, alternating weekends

Highlights:

• 16-bed Cardiac Intensive Care Unit providing advanced critical care
• Patient ratios of 2:1 or 1:1 based on acuity, with occasional 3:1 assignments
• Work with advanced equipment including ventilators, IABP, CRRT, Impella, and hypothermia devices
• Cerner documentation system
• 13-week contract with opportunity for exposure to critical procedures including cardioversion, bronchoscopy, and chest tube insertion
• All-RN unit environment

Requirements:

• Active North Carolina RN license or compact state license
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Demonstrated experience with titration of vasoactive medications
• Proficiency with pressors, sedation, paralytics, and ventilator management
• Strong knowledge of hemodynamics and PA catheter setup and interpretation
• Competency in telemetry interpretation and tracheostomy care
• CCRN certification strongly preferred; IABP, Impella, and CRRT experience highly desirable
• Willingness to float to other critical care areas as needed
