Schedule: 3x12 night shifts, every other weekend required

Highlights:

• 26-bed Intermediate Care Unit (step-down) in a 528-bed tertiary care hospital
• Patient ratio of 1:4 on nights; float opportunities to ICU or medical-surgical units
• Care for adult and geriatric patients requiring telemetry monitoring, BIPAP support, arterial/central lines, and titrated IV infusions
• Epic charting system; 24 hours of orientation provided
• Multi-disciplinary team with strong interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
• One block of pre-approved time off available during assignment

Requirements:

• Active New York RN license in hand prior to submission (mandatory)
• Minimum 1 year of recent step-down, progressive care, or IMC experience
• Epic charting experience required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience with 1:5 to 1:7 patient ratios in medical-surgical or step-down settings
• Competency in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV therapy, peripheral line care, respiratory support, and isolation precautions
• Must reside at least 75 miles from facility location
• First-time travelers accepted
