Schedule: 3x12 night shifts, every other weekend required

Highlights:

• 26-bed critical care step-down unit in a 528-bed tertiary care hospital
• Care for adult patients requiring continuous telemetry and pulse-oximetry monitoring
• Patient ratio of 1:4 at night with experience managing 1:5 to 1:7 ratios in medical-surgical settings
• Diverse case mix including airway management, BIPAP support, arterial and central lines, and IV drip infusions
• 24-hour orientation with interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, and rapid response teams
• EPIC charting system exclusively used; experience required

Requirements:

• Active New York RN license in hand required prior to submission – no exceptions
• Minimum 1 year of recent nursing experience required
• EPIC charting system experience is mandatory
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Competency in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, IV therapy, phlebotomy, and respiratory care
• Willingness to float to ICU or medical-surgical units as needed
• Must reside at least 75 miles from facility location
• First-time travelers accepted
