Schedule: Night shift, 1900-0730; 36 or 48-hour work weeks available. At least 6 weekend shifts required every 6-week period.

Highlights:

• ICU Float Pool position with exposure to diverse critical care environments including Neuro ICU, Respiratory Failure, Cardiac, Transplant, and overflow units
• 24-bed adult ICU with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and lift teams
• Epic charting system utilized throughout the facility
• Comprehensive transplant center offering experience with liver, kidney, pancreas, and heart/lung transplant patients
• Level I Trauma experience preferred; work with high-acuity patient populations including hemodynamic instability, vent support, and multisystem organ dysfunction
• Strong orientation program with billable module hours and hands-on training

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required; first-time travelers must have experience from a 400+ bed facility
• Valid permanent California RN license in hand at time of submission (temporary licenses not accepted)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale; CCRN preferred
• Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan-Ganz monitoring experience is a hard requirement and will be assessed during phone interview
• Epic charting experience highly preferred
• Must pass EKG exam administered on first day of orientation to proceed with contract
• Proficiency with ventilators, IV starts, ICP monitoring, telemetry, conscious sedation, and arterial line management
• Flu vaccination required with no exemptions
• Willingness to float between ICU and medical-surgical/telemetry/PCU/PACU/overflow units as needed
