Schedule: 12-hour shifts (Day: 0645-1915, Night: 1845-0715); rotate through every 3rd weekend (sometimes every other as needed); 48 guaranteed hours available

• Fast-paced med/surg acuity environment treating orthopedic injuries, neurological conditions including stroke and head injuries, and trauma patients
• State-of-the-art mobile communication technology (iMobile/Mobile Heartbeat) provided to all staff for secure, efficient team collaboration
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 5-6:1 with strong support staff including PCTs and unit clerks
• Meditech EMR system with specialized equipment including traction, external fixators, halos, continuous pulse ox, and remote telemetry monitoring
• Recently expanded unit due to growing patient volume, demonstrating institutional investment and stability

Requirements:

• Active Kansas RN license
• Acute care hospital experience on Med/Surg or Telemetry units required
• Current BLS certification
• NIH stroke certification preferred
• Experience with wound care and dressing changes
