Location: Asheville, North Carolina

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with every other weekend required; scheduling determined by departmental needs

• 101-bed emergency department at a Level 2 Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center
• High-volume facility with over 100,000 visits annually
• Typical patient ratios of 4:1 for medical patients; up to 7:1 for behavioral health holds
• Supportive team environment with unit techs, unit clerks, and dedicated cardiac monitoring
• Cerner EMR system with Baxter pumps and GE monitoring equipment
• Floating limited to ED sections only; no external unit floating required

Requirements:

• Active RN license in North Carolina
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in emergency department setting
• Required certifications prior to start date: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS
• ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
• Experience in Level 2 trauma centers or comprehensive stroke centers strongly preferred
• Previous HCA experience is a plus
• Strong teamwork mentality with the ability to provide real-time coaching and feedback
• Flexibility to work in all areas of the emergency department
