Description
Start Date: December 14, 2025
Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts with every other weekend required; scheduling determined by departmental needs
Highlights:
- 101-bed emergency department at a Level 2 Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center
- High-volume facility with over 100,000 visits annually
- Typical patient ratios of 4:1 for medical patients; up to 7:1 for behavioral health holds
- Supportive team environment with unit techs, unit clerks, and dedicated cardiac monitoring
- Cerner EMR system with Baxter pumps and GE monitoring equipment
- Floating limited to ED sections only; no external unit floating required
Requirements:
- Active RN license in North Carolina
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in emergency department setting
- Required certifications prior to start date: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS
- ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
- Experience in Level 2 trauma centers or comprehensive stroke centers strongly preferred
- Previous HCA experience is a plus
- Strong teamwork mentality with the ability to provide real-time coaching and feedback
- Flexibility to work in all areas of the emergency department
