Schedule: Full-time, every other weekend required; day or night shift available

Highlights:

• 40-bed cardiac stepdown unit specializing in CHF, MI, arrhythmias, pulmonary hypertension, valvular disease, and post-procedure cardiac care
• Patient ratio of 1:4, with stretch staffing at 1:5; supportive team structure with dedicated charge nurses, PCTs, and unit secretaries
• Experience with cardiac telemetry monitoring and titratable IV medications including nitroglycerin, Cardizem, amiodarone, dopamine, heparin, and insulin drips
• Utilize Cerner EMR system and modern cardiac equipment including Zoll monitors and Baxter pumps
• Opportunity to care for post-cardiac catheterization, pacemaker, ICD, and ablation patients
• Float support to medical-surgical and stepdown units as needed

Requirements:

• Active North Carolina RN license or ability to obtain
• Progressive care or stepdown nursing experience required
• Telemetry and cardiac monitoring experience required
• Demonstrated competency with titratable and cardiac IV medications
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Experience with prostacyclins (Flolan, Veletri, Remodulin) preferred
• Relief charge experience a plus
