Schedule: 12-hour shifts; every other weekend required (4 weekend shifts per 4-week period); self-scheduling with manager approval

Highlights:

• Intensive Care Unit specializing in Medical, Cardiac, and Neuro critical care
• 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratios across all shifts
• 38-bed unit within a 392-bed acute care hospital with comprehensive stroke center and STEMI receiving capabilities
• Exposure to advanced therapies including CRRT, IABP, Impella, and ECMO
• Charting system: Meditech with full interdisciplinary support including respiratory, pharmacy, and rapid response teams

Requirements:

• Active RN license (pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of ICU nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Neuro ICU experience required (strong competency level expected)
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale
• Proficiency with specialized equipment preferred: CRRT (Prismaflex or Prismax), IABP (Cardiosave by Getinge/Maquet), and Impella (Abiomed)
• Experience with ventilator management, arterial lines, central lines, vasoactive drips, and complex multi-system patients
• Willingness to float between like units as needed to meet facility needs
• Commitment to work 3 of 5 major holidays during assignment period
• Two supervisory references covering one year within the last three years
