# Job Opportunity – Medical-Surgical / Telemetry RN – New York**Start Date:** January 26, 2026 **Location:** Upstate New York **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** 7:30 AM – 7:30 PM, 12-hour shifts with every-other-weekend coverage**Highlights:** - Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit with 25 beds and average daily census of 15 patients- Patient ratios: 1:6 days, 1:7 nights, 1:8 weekends- Epic EMR system required- 12-hour orientation provided- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including PT, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and phlebotomy**Requirements:** - Active New York RN license required prior to submission- Minimum 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience- Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted- Epic charting experience is mandatory- BLS certification required- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility- Proficiency in dysrhythmia interpretation and management- Experience with rapid response/code team utilization, peripheral line management, oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, and isolation precautions**Why It's a Great Opportunity:** This Medical-Surgical/Telemetry position offers the chance to care for a diverse adult and geriatric patient population with conditions including COPD, pneumonia, chest pain, cellulitis, and abdominal concerns.
