Location: Newark, New Jersey

Schedule: 13-week assignment, 12-hour shifts including every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday)

Highlights:

• Primary placement in a 19-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit with potential to float to Pediatrics and NICU based on skill set and assignment appropriateness
• Patient ratios typically 1:2 in PICU; ratios vary by acuity and unit when floating
• Work with advanced critical care technology including Medtronic pacemakers, telemetry monitoring, BiPAP/CPAP, ventilators, high flow nasal cannula, and tracheostomy care
• Electronic charting via EPIC system
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, physical therapy, radiology, and social services
• Opportunity to care for diverse pediatric populations including infants, children, and adolescents

Requirements:

• Active New Jersey or Compact State RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of documented PICU critical care experience; 1 year of cardiac experience strongly preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Current BLS and PALS certifications required; NRP preferred
• Demonstrated competency in BiPAP/CPAP, ventilators, high flow nasal cannula, and tracheostomy care
• Experience with Medtronic pacemakers and telemetry monitoring required
• Proficiency in EPIC charting system required
• Willingness to float to Pediatrics and NICU for appropriate assignments
• Completion of Peripheral IV and Central Line Education Package required for new bookings
• Must be available to work 2 of 3 holidays during assignment
