Description
Start Date: February 3, 2026
Location: Dallas, Texas
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 36 hours per week, Night shift 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 13-week assignment, Weekend and call requirements discussed during interview
Highlights:
- 13-week travel nursing assignment in a dynamic pediatric critical care environment
- 36 guaranteed hours per week with night shift schedule
- Documentation using Meditech electronic medical record system
- Exposure to complex critical care cases including ventilated patients, trauma, and post-operative pediatric patients
- Opportunity to work with advanced critical care equipment and procedures including pressure lines, drips, and specialty devices
- Day and night shift positions available with experienced clinical team
Requirements:
- Active Texas RN license (temporary licenses not accepted)
- Current BLS and PALS certifications
- Minimum 2 years of Pediatric Critical Care experience in a high-acuity setting
- Experience managing critically ill pediatric patients with complex disease processes including respiratory illnesses, sepsis, and DKA
- Proficiency with pressure lines (CVPs, arterial lines, UAC/UVC)
- Experience with ventilated patients including HFOV, VDR, and Servo ventilators
- Knowledge of critical care drips including epinephrine, norepinephrine, milrinone, dopamine, and precedex
- Experience with complex trauma and post-operative pediatric patients including EVDs, Codmans, and neuro assessments
- Competency in procedures such as Foley insertions, trans-pyloric feeding tubes, dressing changes, and port access
- Professional appearance adhering to facility dress code including blue scrubs for RNs
