Schedule: 8-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM; weekend, holiday, and call required (30-minute response time); manager open to 4x10 schedules

Requirements:

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
• Current New York State RN license or eligibility
• Successful completion and passing grade on the final exam is mandatory and a condition of employment as an Operating Room RN
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum one year medical/surgical experience preferred
• Preceptorship, charge, and leadership abilities preferred for experienced RNs
• Thorough knowledge of nursing principles and ability to assess patient needs (clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual)
• Proficiency in the use of clinical equipment and instrumentation utilized in OR/ASU settings
• Lethal dysrhythmia interpretation skills
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to function well under pressure and demonstrate creative problem-solving
• Must be able to safely assess and implement use of lifts for patient movement
