Job Opportunity – Labor and Delivery RN – California

Start Date: March 10, 2026
Location: Orange, California
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 3x12 Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Highlights:

  • Work in a 426-bed Acute Care Hospital with prestigious Magnet designation
  • Very high-risk Labor and Delivery unit caring for complex pregnancy diagnoses including pre-eclampsia, multiples, fetal anomalies, and preterm labor
  • Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, rapid response, pharmacy, and more
  • Patient ratio of 1:1 or 1:2 providing optimal care delivery
  • 72-hour structured orientation period with free parking provided
  • Exposure to diverse procedures including cesarean sections, vaginal deliveries, cervical cerclage, D&C, and version

Requirements:

  • Active California RN license in hand (temporary licenses not accepted)
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience required
  • Previous travel nursing experience mandatory – first-time travelers cannot be considered
  • BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications required; AWHONN Advanced preferred
  • Must be proficient in circulating for cesarean sections
  • Experience in large hospital settings highly preferred
  • Competency in high-risk antepartum, external fetal monitoring, recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns, and medication management including magnesium sulfate therapy and insulin drips
  • Must reside outside 50-mile local radius or qualify for local rate
