Location: Asheville, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Self-scheduling with unit needs consideration; 6 weekend shifts per scheduling period; 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio in a 12-bed unit

Highlights:

• Specialized neuroscience intensive care unit caring for complex neurological patients
• Advanced procedures including CRRT, bedside EVD management, and arterial line monitoring
• Cerner EMR documentation system; Baxter pump technology
• Care for post-thrombectomy, TPA, and post-neurosurgery patients
• Floating primarily to other ICU settings or step-down units as needed
• Supportive team environment with unit secretaries and tech availability

Requirements:

• Current RN license in North Carolina or compact state eligibility
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required
• ICU experience required; neurology ICU experience strongly preferred
• Advanced skills in caring for neurology post-thrombectomy and TPA patients
• Experience with post-neurosurgery patient care
• Navy blue scrubs required
