Start Date: February 9, 2026
Location: Portsmouth, New Hampshire
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts with every other weekend, or four-week rotation

Highlights:

• 20-bed Cardiac Medical Unit serving as cardiac step-down with telemetry monitoring
• 5:1 patient ratio with supportive team structure including free charge nurse, LNAs, and unit clerk
• Diverse patient population including cardiac step-down, stroke overflow, med/surg telemetry, CHF, COPD, and chest pain rule-outs
• Advanced procedures including thoracentesis, peritoneal dialysis, tracheostomy care, pacemaker management, and cardiac catheterization aftercare
• Meditech Expanse documentation system with bedside shift handoff protocols
• Facility designations include STEMI Hospital, Stroke Center, and Level II Trauma Center

Requirements:

• Active RN license in New Hampshire or compact state eligibility
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and cardiac patient care
• Experience with high-acuity medical patients and critical care equipment including IV pumps, high-flow oxygen, BiPAP, and feeding pumps
