Description
Start Date: April 20, 2026
Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Rotating weekends with variable call coverage; typically one weekday call per week and one weekend every 5-6 weeks. Float responsibilities within facility and scope of practice as needed, including to Main OR.
Highlights:
- Work with a diverse cardiovascular surgical case mix including CABG, TAVR, valve replacements, LVAD/RVAD, thoracic procedures, and complex vascular surgeries
- 1:1 patient ratio providing focused, high-quality perioperative care
- Epic charting system in use facility-wide
- 13-week assignment with potential for renewal
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory and interpretation services
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of surgical scrub experience required; first-time travelers accepted
- Current Georgia or Compact state RN license (must be active at time of submission)
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Epic charting system experience required
- Experience with cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular surgical scrubbing procedures
- Community hospital and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
- Two supervisory references (Manager level or above) highly preferred
- Must be available to complete compliance documentation and lab work within 48 hours of contract signature
