Location: Rochester, New York
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 4x12 night shifts, every other weekend

Highlights:

• 26-bed critical care step-down unit in a 528-bed tertiary care hospital
• Diverse patient population requiring continuous telemetry and pulse-oximetry monitoring
• Patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7 on nights for acute medical-surgical step-down patients
• 24-hour orientation with interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Up to 10 days pre-approved time off available

Requirements:

• Active New York RN license in hand prior to submission (no exceptions)
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS preferred
• EPIC charting system experience mandatory
• Experience with telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, and critical care step-down/progressive care environments
• Competency in IV therapy, central and peripheral line management, blood product administration, and cardiac/vasoactive drip management
• Respiratory skills including nasal cannula, oxygen administration, and non-invasive airway management
• Must reside 75 miles or more from the facility location
• Willingness to float to ICU or medical-surgical units as needed
