Location: Newark, New Jersey
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 13-week assignment, every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday), 12-hour shifts

Highlights:

• 19-bed Pediatric ICU with patient ratios of 1:2 (may include 1:1 for higher acuity)
• Diverse case mix including cardiac patients, medtronic pacemakers, telemetry monitoring, and complex respiratory support
• EPIC charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, and physical therapy
• May float to Pediatrics and NICU based on appropriate skill set and hospital needs
• Previous cardiac experience strongly preferred; focus on BIPAP/CPAP, vents, high flow nasal cannula, and trach management
• Opportunities to work with advanced equipment including external ventricular drains, ICP monitoring, and procedural sedation

Requirements:

• Active New Jersey or Compact state RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of PICU critical care experience required; 1 year of cardiac experience strongly preferred
• BLS and PALS certifications required; NRP preferred
• EPIC charting experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers are not accepted
• Demonstrated competency in telemetry monitoring, medtronic pacemakers, BIPAP/CPAP, ventilators, high flow nasal cannula, and tracheostomy care
• Must be willing to float within skill set to appropriate assignments in Pediatrics and NICU as needed
• Must be available to work 2 of 3 holidays during assignment period
