Schedule: 4x12 Night Shifts, every other weekend required

Highlights:

• 26-bed Intermediate Care Unit in a 528-bed tertiary care hospital serving as a critical care step-down unit
• Patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7 on nights; continuous telemetry and pulse-oximetry monitoring for all patients
• Diverse case mix including post-surgical, ICU step-down, and acute medical patients with focus on pulmonary conditions
• EPIC charting system; 24 hours of orientation provided
• Interdisciplinary team support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
• 13-week assignment with flexibility for one pre-approved time off request

Requirements:

• Active New York RN license required in hand prior to submission
• Minimum 1 year of recent Intermediate Care, Step-Down, or Progressive Care Unit experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS preferred
• EPIC charting experience is mandatory
• Experience managing 1:5 to 1:7 patient ratios in med-surg or step-down environments
• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, vasoactive and cardiac drip management
• Skills in central and peripheral line care, blood product administration, and non-invasive airway management
• Willingness to float to ICU or medical-surgical units as needed
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
