Description
Start Date: April 20, 2026
Location: Madison, Wisconsin
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts with rotating start times between 6:30 AM and 9:00 AM. No call requirement, though occasional flexibility to stay past shift end may be needed to complete the scheduled procedure list.
Highlights:
- Specialize in providing care during GI and pulmonary procedures including ERCP, EUS, EGD, colonoscopy, endoscopy, and bronchoscopy
- Administer moderate sedation and provide pre/post care across all levels including PACU Phase I and Phase II recovery
- Work at a Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma center with Epic EMR system
- Daily census of 20-25 patients across 4 procedure rooms with interdisciplinary team support
- 32 hours of comprehensive orientation provided
- Serve adult and geriatric patient populations in an academic medical center environment
Requirements:
- Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of application)
- Current AHA ACLS and BLS certifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience in gastroenterology or bronchoscopy procedures within the last 3 years
- Level I Trauma center or similar academic hospital experience required
- Epic charting system experience required
- Proficiency in moderate sedation administration and recovery of sedated patients
- Competency in airway management, IV starts and maintenance, and dysrhythmia interpretation
- Must successfully pass a telemetry competency exam prior to start date with strict passing criteria (80% overall, 100% on lethal rhythms)
- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
