Location: Columbus, Ohio

Schedule: 12-hour shifts, days/nights or rotating (assigned per 4-week scheduling period based on unit needs); self-scheduling requests accepted; weekends variable based on unit needs

Highlights:

• Mixed acuity PCU and Medical-Surgical unit specializing in Surgical Oncology patients
• 36-bed high-acuity unit caring for breast, thyroid, melanoma, hepatobiliary, colorectal, and plastic/reconstructive surgery patients
• Staffing ratio goal of 1:4 (may be 1:5); may float to other acute care Oncology units as needed
• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, pharmacy, rapid response, and more
• 16-week contract with 72 hours of orientation (first week Monday-Friday days, second week on-unit with preceptor)
• Experience with chemotherapy, blood transfusions, IV antibiotics, oncologic emergencies, insulin/heparin drips, and chest tube care

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; at least 1 year of current PCU specialty experience within the last 3 years
• Valid Compact or Ohio RN license in hand at time of submission
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required; ONS Chemotherapy certification preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with cardiac telemetry, BiPAP/CPAP management, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, tracheostomy care, and chest tubes
• Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• 2 professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal leadership)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• Completion of Ohio fingerprinting process urgently upon contract signing
